The Shams first began in 2011 in San Francisco, lead by energetic and charismatic front man Sean Daly, from Donegal, Ireland. In recent years, The Shams released their award-winning EP “One and All”, embarked on a Northwest tour, and sold out the legendary Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. They also performed a fantastic outdoor show in September 2021 at the Fiddler’s Green 30th Anniversary party.

The Shams have shared the stage with Irish performers such as the brilliant singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey, The Irish Brigade, Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfetones, Mundy, The Young Dubliners, and English punk legends, The Vibrators.

The Shams provide listeners with a new, hard-hitting perspective on the evolution of Irish music, unlike any you’ve heard before. With each fiery live performance, the group leaves listeners begging for more.
