‘My Funny Valentine’ Niall O’Sullivan Live

$30Irish trumpet star Niall O’Sullivan will perform his brand new show ‘My Funny Valentine’ this September at the United Irish Cultural Center, San Francisco.
‘My Funny Valentine’ showcases Niall’s versatility performing in a variety of styles, from classical to jazz and songs from stage and screen. Niall will be joined on stage by singing sensation Shóna Henneberry and virtuoso pianist Vincent Lynch to perform works from his latest album ‘Niall O’Sullivan and Friends’ and previous releases.
‘Niall O’Sullivan and Friends’ was produced by the legendary British Cellist, Julian Lloyd Webber and recorded with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, recently voted the ‘World’s Favourite Orchestra’. This album features a host of international stars from several genres of music including opera star Danielle de Niese, theatre royalty Kim Criswell, Grammy winning jazz guitarist Larry Carlton and Celtic music stars Lisa Lambe and Emmet Cahill.
Following the albums Irish release, it was ‘Album of the Week’ on Ireland’s premier classical music station ‘RTÉ Lyric FM’ and reached #1 on the Classical iTunes Charts.
Since releasing his self-titled debut album Niall O’Sullivan has wowed audiences all across Ireland. His interpretations of jazz ballads and classical works have earned him mass praise from local and national press. His reinvention of tangos have had audiences rise to their feet repeatedly. Niall O’Sullivan and his approach to the trumpet have appeared on various platforms in Ireland from the Grand Canal Theatre to the National Concert Hall, with regular appearances on live TV & Radio. Whether he is performing with full orchestra or piano, Niall O’Sullivan and his fellow musicians continue to dazzle the public and give them a fresh appreciation for the trumpet.
As a side man, Niall has worked with Tom Jones, Michael Búble, Amy Winehouse, Perry Como, Dionne Warwick, Imelda May, The Pogues, Lalo Schifrin, Jose Carreras, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sinead O’Conor, Bill Whelan, Michel Legrand, Angela Gheorghiu and was recently guest soloist for Josh Groban’s Irish tour.
