Corrib Theatre: Sweet Afton Launch Party

Corrib Theatre in Portland, OR, presents the world premiere of a new audio play, Sweet Afton by Jaki McCarrick. A brother and sister flee Afghanistan only to find themselves trapped in Direct Provision, Ireland’s inhumane system of endless incarceration. With the help of their new Irish friend, they will fight to end Direct Provision for good.

Join our live launch party on Saturday, August 7 @ 12pm. We will live stream the play, followed by a discussion with guest speaker from MASI (Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland). Tickets are $15 and include On Demand access to the play as well as a recorded interview with the playwright through September 5.
