Wake the Dead, the World’s Only Celtic All-Star Grateful Dead Jam Band and long-time Bay Area favorite, returns to the Freight for their customary Day of the Dead bash!  With 16 years of solid success, the Wake the Dead has grown to embrace the entire Summer of Love. The way this band “Celtifies” the Dead, the Airplane, the Youngbloods, & more is delighting Celtoids, Deadheads, rockers, and folkies alike.

Wake the Dead is Danny Carnahan (vocals, octave mandolin, fiddle), Sylvia Herold (vocals, guitar), Paul Kotapish (vocals, mandolin), Kevin Carr (uilleann pipes, fiddle), Cindy Browne (bass), Maureen Brennan (Irish harp) and Brian Rice (percussion).
