Special House Concert with Nicole Maguire. She’ll be back in the San Francisco Bay Area for 10 days only. Nicole is here from her home in Cork, Ireland.

She recently had one of her songs placed in the new Robert Duvall movie “Wild Horses” and was also named as one of the Top Five Rising Stars of Irish Music (Irish Independent). She has been recording in Los Angeles with Ken Caillat (Producer of one of the biggest selling records of all time, “Rumours” by Fleetwood Mac. She’s signed to Ken’s label Sleeping Giant Records!
Championed early by fans such as Damien Dempsey and Nanci Griffith, who both took her under their wing with prestigious frontline support slots wowed by the quality of her songwriting.
Nicole took off for the US to work with multiple Grammy nominee producer, Mitchell Froom, who wanted on-board simply from hearing one demo, “What You Really Mean”
Her record features an amazing line-up of musicians recruited by Mitchell’s passion for the project, signing on simply for the love of the music: Elvis Costello and the Attractions’ drummer, Pete Thomas; Crosby Stills and Nash’s bass player, Bob Glaub and Val McCallum, guitarist for Sheryl Crow and Lucinda Williams. Backing vocals are handled by Vonda Shepard, the Award winning singer from Ally McBeal. The final piece of the jigsaw is Grammy award-winning engineer, David Boucher.
On this trip she will be supported by Marty Atkinson, formerly of Cactus Choir (Atlantic Records/Curb/Universal). Also, the night at Crombie Cabin will include a Special Guest Performance from Richard Harris, a Los Angeles Producer and songwriter. Nicole and Richard will share a couple of the songs they have written together, one that is being considered for the TV Show “Nashville”.
