Poet Judy Wells and Friends, Larkspur

Judy Wells, Dale Jensen, Lynn Ireland, Carol Sheldon, Gabrielle Rilleau, and Susan Robinson will read Tuesday, June 20th, at
7 pm at Larkspur Library, 400 Magnolia Avenue, in Larkspur with the Marin Traveling Show hosted by Prartho Sereno.
Judy Wells’ latest poetry collection, The Glass Ship (Sugartown, 2014), completes her trilogy of Irish-themed works, including Everything Irish and Call Home (Scarlet Tanager Books). She has three works-in-progress: “Dear Phebe,” her New England-to-California Dickinson ancestor project, “The Old People Monologues from A-Z,” and “Night at the Musée d’Orsay: Poems of Paris and other Great European Cities.”

Dale Jensen’s poetry is heavily influenced by the Surrealists and such cut-up writers as William Burroughs and Brion Gysin. He published and edited the experimental poetry magazine Malthus from 1986 through 1989 and has published several books through Malthus Press. His new book is Amateur Mythology (2017).
Lynn Ireland has been a Professor of Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University for 17 years. In addition, she has been a licensed Psychologist doing individual and group psychotherapy, as well as consulting, training and teaching in various venues for over 25 years. Her transpersonal orientation has been highlighted by her love for poetry.
Carol Sheldon has published two books of poetry. She teaches Poetry, the Novel, and Memoir in her home, her church, Osher’s Lifelong Learning Institute and for the Marin Writers’ Center.
Gabrielle Rilleau has played with the sound of words since she was first able to say “kerosene.” Raised on the tip of Cape Cod, she moved to California in 1965. She is a well-known reader in the Marin poetry scene.
Susan Robinson lives by the sea in Bolinas and near the Bay in San Rafael. Raised in Nashville, she is a retired consultant who writes poetry and paints. Having published At Home in the Ear of the Buddha, she plans a collection of new and selected work for 2017.
